Bobby was born and raised in northwestern Winston-Salem, NC. He and his wife, Dawn, have been married since 1979. They have three married daughters (Christen, Leah, and Anna) and seven grandchildren. When called into full-time ministry, Bobby prayed, “I will go where You send me, and do what You ask of me.” He felt God speak, “Why not here? Why not now?” After continuing his education and receiving a degree in Biblical Studies, he was ordained into the gospel ministry in 2008. Bobby became our senior pastor in November of 2015, after serving as interim pastor the previous year.
Phil grew up in Roxboro, NC and came to Winston Salem in 1970 to get his his education at Wake Forest University. He then went to Texas for 3 years at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. After graduation, He married Beth and they began their ministry together. Phil has served as Senior Pastor in three churches, spent 9 years as the Director of MIssions in Morganton, NC and served for 20 years as a Missionary in West Africa. He and Beth always thought they might retire in Winston Salem when the time came. It was an easy decision when two of their three daughters married and settled in the area. That allowed four of the seven grandsons to be close by. He is grateful to be able to serve in the community and continue to seek to be used of God to build HIs Kingdom here and around the world.
