Church on Mission

Each year, Griffith Baptist Church participates in several mission projects including Samaritan Purse Shoe Box Ministry, Dixie Classic Fair Ministry, and the Baptist Toy Store. Boxes are available to drop off your donated items in the hallway between adult small group classrooms at all times.

Please mark your calendars for these events and consider donating your time or supplies:

  • Forsyth Jail Ministry: We are organizing care kits for the people in Forsyth Jail. The items needed for this ministry are as follows: shampoo (trial size), soap, washcloths, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, white socks, and note cards. Please place all of these items into a ziplock plastic bag.  The prison party is December 20.
  • Church on Mission at 96 Ardsley- Saturday, February 24th, 2018 8am-2pm: Join us as we go into the community and help build a soccer field, minister to children, and feed the community at the 96 Ardsley apartment complex. There are hundreds of children and young adults who play soccer at these apartments in their free time, and we want to help make a nice place for them to do so. We have several different areas available for people to volunteer. We will need people to help with clearing the actual field where the soccer field will be. We will need people to help with a Bible study lesson for the children in the apartment complex. We will also need help with hands and donations to help feed the people working and the community in this area. Come join us for an amazing day of missions at 96 Ardsley! Please no children under 6th grade age, as we will have heavy, dangerous machinery to mulch trees.
  • Baptist Toy Store Collection Each family is asked to bring a toy that your Chile or a grandchild would like, priced between $10 – $30 for ages birth to 14 years.  The toys will be taken to First Baptist Church in Clemmons prior to November 25 where families will be able to select toys for their children that normally would not be able to provide Christmas gifts.
  • Girls in Action (GAs) The GAs are collecting money to buy Walmart gift cards for one of out missionaries, Cathy Tisher, of Oklahoma City.  Cathy ministers to residents in nursing homes who have no families, meeting their spiritual and physical needs.  If you can help, please see Janet Huff.
